PointPower

A React Native app I'm building to help plan and maximize credit card rewards, with a small backend behind it.

Context

Rewards planning usually means bouncing between issuer sites, spreadsheets, and guesswork. PointPower tries to put the planning flow in one place.

Role

I'm building the whole thing: React Native client, TypeScript throughout, and a Node/Supabase backend.

One hard decision

I started with planning first, not a giant card catalog. The job is helping someone decide how to use rewards, so the UI leads with goals and scenarios instead of a flat list of every card feature.

Implementation notes

  • Expo and React Native for the mobile client.
  • Zustand for local planning state.
  • Supabase for backend services and data.
  • TypeScript across the stack so domain models stay clear as things change.

Status

Still in progress. The concept is solid and the foundations work, but this isn't a launched consumer app yet.

What I'd improve next

Better onboarding around one planning scenario, clearer empty and error states, and screenshots once the main flows are stable enough to show.

Technologies

  • Node.js
  • Supabase
  • Expo
  • React Native
  • TypeScript
  • Zustand
